7terna ya Ar3a Wein Baddna Nboussik

"7terna ya ar3a wein baddna nboussik": Lebanese Slang.  7terna means we got confused, ya ar3a means baldness, wein baddna nboussik means "where to kiss you".  Literally this expression means "We can't seem to know where to kiss this bald head".

Metaphorically, this expression is used when someone wants to express their confusion about what to do to resolve a certain problem when they have tried many options or many ways of doing so, in vain.  It can relate to mundane little things or serious problems.

Sample conversation 1:

Person 1: "did you try reasoning with her"

Person 2: "yes, I sat her down and we had a long chat, and we agreed on what she's going to do, but nothing happened"

Person 1: "did you try warning her?"

Person 2: "yes, then gave her a written warning, she still would not do it: 7terna ya ar3a wein baddna nboussik"!

Egyptian Slang. literaly means: "The last thing". Used to stress how cool/uncool something is to the extent that there is nothing cooler/uncooler. It is more likely to be used to indicate coolness than otherwise but paying attention to the context will tell if this is not the case.

 

Sample Conversation 1:

Person 1: " Did you see his new Ferrari?"

Person 2: " Yes man! I saw him doing 400 KM/hour on the road. It's fast 'A7'er 7aga' (أخر حاجة) "

 

Sample Conversation 2:

Person 1: " How is it like on the beach? "

Person 2: " I think we will leave! It's hot and Humid ' A7'er 7aga' (أخر حاجة) "
