Msayyaf or Msayyfeh

"Msayyaf" or "Msayyfeh", literally means he or she is on summer vacation, but is actually used to describe someone who is unaware of a specific or general situation around them.

 Sample conversation:

Person 1: "everybody in the office knows who the new boss is, except for Gaby"

Person 2: "correct! Gaby Msayyaf!"

Egyptian Slang: Literaly means "Cream!" used as OK, Cool or both. Was very common in the late 90's but became less popular among youngsters in the new millenium. Also used as "Good stuff" in other contexts. It is a very fluid word and comes in lots of contexts yet in any way it will be something positive.

Sample conversation 1:

Person 1: We will move to the beach at 12:00 to start the barbeque. Don't be late!

Person 2: 2eshta! I will bring the drinks and be there on time

Sample conversation 2:

Person 1: Here you go! I brought the stuff you asked me to get

Person 2: 2eshta 3alaik (on you)!! I was waiting for it
