Lebanese slang that cannot be literally translated. It actually is very similar to saying "listen..." in English when you want to grab someone's attention, it could also mean "by the way". Almost invariably followed by a question, but could also be used to support a plea, something like "I beg you", or please.
Sample conversation 1: Person 1: Dakhlak... Person 2: yes, what's up? Person 1: What car did you end up buying? Person 2: I still have not made up my mind... Sample conversation 2: ***Example needed to illustrate the expression when used as a "plea"****

Literally means 'hit by the wire'. An expression used to refer to someone who is crazy or mentally unstable.
Other variations are "Metar2a3" (مطرأع) or "Lasse3" (لاسع) or "3ando fuse dareb" (ضارب fuse عندو). The origin of these variations all refer to the state of having a non-functioning section of the brain. Also used as a figure of speech to express that someone's actions are very much out of the norm and unexpected. |

Egyptian Slang: Literally means "wipe out dust - dust off", metaphorically, it is used to tell someone to ignore another person or an idea or an argument. Very close to another slang in Egyptian , or "7la2lo/حلاقلو ", basically used to say "ignore him / her / it!".
Sample conversation: Person 1: Your friend Mohsen is calling you man. Person 2: Ya man, Naffadlo (ignore him)!!
