Kellna bl Hawa Sawa

In English means: "We're all in the wind together".  It is used to express unification of a group of people around the same situation or problem. It is similar to the English phrase: "We're all in this together" e.g.

Person 1: "Nobody had the time to solve more than 50% of this exam"
Person 2: "I think I'm gonna have to repeat the course"
Person 1: "Kellna bl hawa sawa my friend"

"Shashma" is a word used in old Lebanese colloquial to mean "bathroom", probably inherited from the days of the Ottoman rule in Lebanon. The word is still used by some old people.

Hey !! I'm an 18 year old franch lebanese and i use this word all the time, as all my family do. My dad told me a story about this word : a long time ago, an uncle of mine went to Turqey for tourism. He was looking for the bathroom so he asked someone in every languages he knew ... No way to make him understand what he was looking for. So he screamed in Lebanese : "The don't have fu***** Shahsma in the country ??!!". The Turquish one answered : "Aahh, Shashma !!" and showed him where they were. This may be an other argument for the origin of the word.
