She7ad Msharat - شحاد مشارط

She7ad Msharat - شحاد مشارط, in English means "Beggar with conditions". When you give a beggar something, he's usually thankful, he never (or is not supposed to) tell you it is too little.  This expression is used when someone asking you for a favor is actually being choosy! e.g.

Person 1: Can I finish your sandwich? I'm still really hungry
Person 2: okay
Person 1 (tasting): beukh, it has pickles, can't you order without pickles, you know I hate them!
Person 2: shou She7ad Msharat enta! (can't you appreciate instead of comlaining?)

Bi Zenn 3ala Kharaab 3esho - بزن على خراب عشه .  Levant Slang.bumblebee3  Bi Zenn is a verb usually attributed to the sound a bee makes while flying.  Kharaab 3esho means the destruction of its hive or nest.  It literally means (the bee)'s buzz led to the destruction of its hive or nest.

Metaphorically, this is very similar to the English expression "to shoot yourself in the foot", or "ask for trouble".

"3a Add Frashak Medd Ejreek / عقد فراشك مد اجريك" - Palestinian (or perhaps Greater Syria: Bilad al-Sham) Slang, literally means "stretch your legs as far as the mattress can take", metaphorically means "live within your means". Great slang for the current Economic Crisis that we live in...
